Is claiming my business always free?+
Yes. Claiming and managing your basic business profile is always free. This includes your business name, address, contact details, website, social links, hours, and local discovery listing.
What is included during Phase 1?+
During Phase 1, businesses can add storefront photos, showcase up to 100 products, receive customer Order Requests, respond from the Business Dashboard, and use transparent marketplace billing.
How many products can I upload during Phase 1?+
Businesses can upload up to 100 products during Phase 1. This gives most shops enough room to build a useful digital storefront and showcase products to nearby shoppers.
How do customer Order Requests work?+
A customer chooses a product, quantity, and available fulfillment method, then sends an Order Request. The request appears in your dashboard and is also sent by email. You can review it, accept or decline it, and include a message for the customer.
How much is the Marketplace Fee?+
Your first 5 accepted Order Requests are free. After that, each additional accepted request has a fixed $2 Marketplace Fee. There is no monthly subscription and LocalStreetShop does not take a percentage of the sale.
When is the $2 Marketplace Fee charged?+
The $2 Marketplace Fee is added only when you accept a chargeable Order Request after using your first 5 free accepted requests. Declined, cancelled, and expired requests are never charged.
Does LocalStreetShop collect payment from the customer?+
No. LocalStreetShop does not collect the product payment from the customer. The business and customer arrange payment directly after the request is accepted.
Who handles pickup, delivery, shipping, and fulfillment?+
The business chooses which fulfillment methods it offers and handles the final arrangement directly with the customer. You can provide pickup, local delivery, shipping, or any combination that works for your shop.
How do I pay marketplace fees?+
Your current balance is shown in the Marketplace Billing Center. You can pay securely through Stripe at any time or wait for eligible charges to be grouped into a monthly invoice. No payment is taken automatically.
What if I already have my own website?+
That is perfectly fine. You can still claim your LocalStreetShop profile for free, showcase products, receive local Order Requests, and link visitors to your existing website, Instagram, Facebook, or contact information.
What happens after Phase 1?+
Your basic business profile will remain free. Founding Business benefits and future marketplace tools may evolve as LocalStreetShop grows, but any pricing changes will be communicated clearly before they apply.
Can I get help setting up my shop?+
Yes. The optional Professional Store Setup service is for busy business owners who want help uploading products, organizing details, optimizing images, and improving their listing.
